The hotel was in a great location, close to the beach and in a quiet area. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was also quite spacious with comfortable beds.
The decor and bathroom could use some updating, as they looked old-fashioned and haphazard. parking was advertised but proved difficult to find nearby and expensive, so be prepared to search for a spot if you have a car.

A Pleasant Surprise
We had a wonderful stay at Alston House and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received. Despite the hotel's age, our room was clean and comfortable, providing a great view of the pier and sea. Although the climb up the stairs was a bit challenging, it was worth it for the beautiful vista. The breakfast was satisfying and the manageress was one of the friendliest individuals we've encountered. In terms of location, it couldn't have been better, with the beach and center just a short distance away. we highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and memorable stay.

They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even allowed me to check in early when I arrived ahead of schedule. the location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to key areas of the city and great views from the room. the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep after a long day of business meetings.
The bathroom and shower in the hotel room were disappointingly small and cramped. It was difficult to move around comfortably, and the shower tray seemed to be painted with white emulsion paint, which was not very appealing.

Stayed at a budget hotel near the town with great bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was comfortable and clean, providing a good breakfast. Additionally, parking was available on the square, and any surplus payment carried over to the next day. The hotel owner and reception staff were friendly and helpful, even providing a desk fan for our room. a recommended option for budget travelers.
No cons. 👍🏼
